CYBER MONDAY: The Beast of Bear-tooth Mountain, FREE on Kindle
"Nothing in this world is free..."
While I’m sure many of you are sick of hearing about The Beast of Bear-tooth Mountain by now, for those who have been putting off purchasing a copy, now is your time to receive an early Christmas gift from yours truly. Today, and today only, The Beast of Bear-tooth Mountain is completely FREE on the Amazon Kindle store.
You read that right, pay no attention to the usual $3.99 pricing, for Cyber Monday (ending at midnight tonight) this novella could be yours for the lowest price of free. For those who have already purchased a physical copy, why not add a free digital one to your collection also?
Thank you to all of you who showed up in October and November in support of this project. With a decent launch for a book that has (1) no traditional publisher, (2) no marketing power behind it, and (3) was written by a first-time author, I couldn’t be happier that people are actually reading my work.
Although I never set out to make a huge chunk of change on this story (and indeed, I haven’t), it was one that I believe God put on my heart to tell. What He does with it is entirely up to Him, the best I can do is continue to press on and fill in the gaps in the Bear-tooth Mountain Archive (more on that below). So, as a genuine thank you from the bottom of my heart, enjoy this one completely free. If you’ve already bought the book, send the link to a friend!
Additionally, I would like to officially announce that the next detour into The Bear-tooth Mountain Archive, my short story The Middle-Night, will drop NEXT WEEK on December 6th. The pre-order should be available later this week, but I’m happy to share the cover art with you here…
You read that right, in the same vein as something like Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, The Middle-Night is a Christmas-centric ghost story that takes place on Christmas Eve 1995. I’m really excited about how this one turned out, and even more excited to share it with you all this holiday season.
For those of you patiently waiting for Further Up & Further In to return to its regularly scheduled program, we’re almost there. I’ll likely talk about this in detail in a future edition of this newsletter, but I’m hoping to make FU&FI a monthly thing that’ll include essays, personal musings, writing updates (largely for The Bear-tooth Mountain Archive), and my signature Petty Picks.
Thank you all for being here, I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
